Thursday, December 11: Kick off the weekend with holiday harmonies

The Sing-Off 2025 headlines Thursday evening at Market Street's Central Park (9595 Six Pines Drive). This free event from 6:30-8:00 PM features seven high school a cappella groups including Oak Ridge, Lake Creek, and Montgomery, competing for $10,000 in prize money with holiday-themed performances. Emcee Cristina Kooker and The Woodlands Comedy Troupe open the show. Bring blankets and lawn chairs; complimentary hot cocoa available.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Musical continues its run at Class Act Productions (25275 Budde Road, Suite 27) at 7:30 PM. This heartwarming adaptation of Barbara Robinson's beloved book follows the outrageous Herdman kids as they hijack the town's Christmas pageant. Tickets approximately $15-20.

Friday, December 12: Markets, movies, and nighttime adventures

The weekend's biggest draw begins Friday: the Tomball German Christmas Market opens at 6:00 PM at Tomball Railroad Depot Plaza (201 S. Elm Street). Recognized as one of the "20 Best Christmas Markets in the U.S." by travelmag.com. This free-admission festival features 150+ vendors, three live music stages, with oompah bands, authentic German food and beer, and the festive Feztival of Trees. Free shuttle service runs from HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball.

SHSU Jazz Ensemble performs at Dosey Doe - The Big Barn (25911 I-45 North) at 7:30 PM. The Sam Houston State University ensemble delivers holiday jazz in the venue's legendary 165-year-old Kentucky tobacco barn. Tickets $35 include a free CD and $8 food credit; doors open at 6:00 PM with dinner service.

Free outdoor entertainment continues at Market Street with Sarah Kelly Music School Concert from 6:00-8:00 PM at Central Park. Saturday, December 13: The biggest day of the weekend

Morning highlights (before noon)

The Woodlands Winter Makers Market debuts at the Rob Fleming Recreation Center (6464 Creekside Forest Drive) from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. This first-ever Township market features 30+ local vendors selling handcrafted goods, home décor, jewelry, and art. Free admission includes food trucks and a KidZone with trackless train, holiday crafts, putt-putt, and inflatables (wristbands for purchase).

Santa's Merry Mingle transforms The Woodlands Children's Museum from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM into a holiday wonderland. The $30 child ticket includes a professional framed photo with Santa, gingerbread house building with Mrs. Claus, Le Theatre de Marionette puppet shows, Olaf meet-and-greet, snow play, and holiday goodie bag. Adults $10.

Polar Express Brunch at Harrison's (The Woodlands Resort, 2301 North Millbend Drive) serves train-themed delights from 7:00 AM-1:00 PM including Pumpkin Spiced Brioche French Toast, Gingerbread Waffles, and a Conductor's Gourmet Hot Cocoa Cart. Saturdays feature Breakfast with Santa from 8:00-11:00 AM.

Wreaths Across America ceremony begins at 11:00 AM at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery, honoring veterans through the laying of remembrance wreaths. Free to attend.

Afternoon activities

Tomball German Christmas Market runs full steam from 10:00 AM-10:00 PM, opening with the Tapping of the Keg and Willkommen ceremony at 10:30 AM. Saturday contests include Bier Stein Hoist (6:00 PM and 8:00 PM), Chicken Dance Contest, and Yodeling Contest.

Jingle Boats offers festive kayaking along The Woodlands Waterway, departing Riva Row Boat House (2101 Riva Row) at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM. For $45 per tandem kayak, families paddle in search of gift-wrapped presents, then return for holiday treats, hot cocoa, and Santa. Pre-registration required.

TADA's 11th Annual Nutcracker performs at Tomball High School Auditorium (30330 Quinn Rd) at 1:30 PM and 5:00 PM. Clara's magical journey features the Mouse Queen, Snow Queen, and Sugar Plum Fairy. The accompanying Holiday Market runs 12:00-7:30 PM in the lobby with Santa appearing 12:30-1:30 PM and 4:00-5:00 PM (no ticket needed for market only).

Taste of the Village brings free food samples, entertainers, and family activities to Indian Springs Center from 12:00-3:00 PM. The Indian Springs Village Association event includes bouncy houses and raffle prizes.

Evening entertainment

The Gatlin Brothers headline Dosey Doe - The Big Barn at 8:30 PM with their Country & Christmas Tour. The Grammy-winning trio behind "All the Gold in California" performs holiday favorites and greatest hits. Tickets range from $98 (obstructed) to $178 (premium), including a three-course meal. Doors open 6:30 PM.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever offers matinee (2:30 PM) and evening (7:30 PM) performances at Class Act Productions.

Christmas in the Park at Northwood Church features camel rides, a snowy hill, live music, and letters to Santa. Morning session gates open 9:00 AM (close 10:30 AM); evening session gates open 5:00 PM (close 6:30 PM). Free with required tickets.

Chanukah Celebration and Menorah Lighting at Market Street Central Park begins at 4:30 PM, hosted by Chabad of The Woodlands. The free event features live music, a juggling show, face-painting, Chanukah crafts, hot latkes and donuts, and the lighting of a 9-foot menorah at 5:15 PM. Complimentary gifts available with advance registration.

Christmas Extravaganza at The Woodlands Methodist Church Sanctuary (2200 Lake Woodlands Drive) begins at 5:00 PM. This free family event features multiple performing groups, soloists, choir and orchestra, concluding with a Christmas carol sing-along and hot chocolate fellowship in the Atrium.

The Woodlands Chorale Christmas Concert: "Love's Pure Light" performs at Christ Church Methodist (6363 Research Forest Drive) at 4:00 PM with guest performers McCullough Junior High School Chamber Singers. Tickets: $25 general admission, $15 students, free for children under 6.

Jason Eady brings authentic Texas country music to Dosey Doe - The Big Barn at 7:30 PM. Tickets $22-$32; doors open 5:30 PM with dinner service.

TADA's Nutcracker continues with 1:30 PM and 5:00 PM performances, while The Best Christmas Pageant Ever offers a 2:30 PM matinee.

Ongoing attractions throughout December 11-14

Free light displays and holiday installations

Holiday on The Waterway (November 22-January 4) transforms 1.5 miles of The Woodlands Waterway into a glowing winter wonderland with over one million sparkling lights. Interactive displays include twinkling tunnels, oversized illuminated bows and presents, sparkling snowflakes, and whimsical deer. Walk the route from Town Green Park to Grogan's Mill Road or ride the free Town Center Trolley. Weekend refreshments available 5:30-8:30 PM in South Plaza.

Market Street in Lights presents a three-minute synchronized light show on the 70-foot Christmas tree every hour on the half-hour from 5:30-9:30 PM nightly through December 26. Over 25,000 multi-colored lights dance to holiday music at Central Park.

Ticketed seasonal experiences

The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center (2005 Lake Robbins Drive) operates through January 19. The 21,000-square-foot indoor facility features colorful lighting, state-of-the-art sound, and concessions.
